ABOUT CEREALIA COFFEE
ROMEL General Trading PLC started exporting green coffee beans in 2018 by the brand name Cerealia Coffee. Since then, Cerealia Coffee has grown to be prominent in the coffee export sector.
We process washed and natural coffee in a variety of locations, including Sidamo. (Bensa, shantawene, Bombay) and Yirgachefe (Chelelektu, Gedeb, Dumerso, and Idido). At these washing stations and natural mills, we process specialty coffees fetching “Q” standard coffees that are traceable up to the farm.
We are proud to play our role in bringing Ethiopian coffee to the global market with our skilled staff handling all transactions until the final buyers’ bankable document presentation.
Our passion for coffee started when we opened our first pastry and coffee shop called Bethlehem Pastry around Megenagna in 2003 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Our coffee shop was adored by many for its freshly brewed coffee which is traditionally hand-roasted. We Usually roast three to four times a day to provide our customers the experience of freshly roasted coffee and its distinct aroma.
This success and popularity of our coffee shop still carries on today with a new brand name, Karavan coffee. It has multiple branches across the city. under new management.
Since 2011, we started Cerealia Coffee by expanding our business portfolio to green coffee export preceded by our parent company ROMEL General Trading PLC acquiring Kaliti Food S.C (KFSC) through privatization from the government.by then, KFSC was one of the first Ethiopian Commodity Exchange ( ECX ) members.
